Creating a Formulation
A key aspect of effective therapy is the collaborative process of creating a formulation. This formulation acts as a personalized roadmap, combining your life history and current circumstances with established psychological theories to offer a comprehensive understanding of the challenges you're facing. Together, we’ll work to develop and refine your formulation, which serves as the foundation for our work and helps identify specific areas to focus on for lasting change.
Each formulation is unique and tailored to the individual, reflecting the specific nature of your difficulties. I specialize in supporting clients dealing with issues such as aelf-esteem, ADHD, stress, anxiety, body positivity, coping skills, depression, domestic abuse, domestic violence, hoarding, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, as well as challenges related to traumatic brain injury (TBI).. By creating a detailed formulation, we can better understand and address the root causes of your struggles, paving the way for meaningful and sustainable progress.
